ISR Systems Segment is one of three L3 business segments, and provides a broad range of aerospace systems, security and detection systems, and pilot training.
Duties include performing as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms.
The System Engineer is expected to:
Design and develop physical architectures incorporating aircraft avionics and mission systems including Self-protect, Weapons, Mission Computing, Communications, Radar, EOIR, COMINT, ELINT and Navigation subsystemsAirborne and/or Shipborne SIGINT expertise Develop system level requirementsPerform requirement traceability methods and purposePerform systems engineering trade study processesEvaluate trade studies for accuracy and completenessWrite subsystem specifications based on system level requirementsEvaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design QualificationsMinimum:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.
) and a minimum of 12 years of applicable experience.
Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skillsExperience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycleWillingness to travelStrongly prefer:
Design and integration of aircraft (fixed wing and rotary) subsystemsFull SDLC implementation and experienceExperience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management ToolExperience with MBSE tools such as Magic DrawExperience working with subcontractors and US Government customersExperience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environmentHands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance which requires U.
S.
Citizenship.
An active DOD Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
